A man has died after he was stabbed late on Christmas Eve, with residents of Perth suburb Aubin Grove reporting banging sounds shortly before police and ambulance officers arrived.
Police say the man was found with stab wounds about 10:40pm on Wednesday near Talisker Gate.
He was taken to a Perth hospital but died soon after.

A resident, Brenton, who asked that his surname not be used, said he had just gone to bed when he heard "weird" knocking and thudding sounds on the street.
"I was probably just watching a bit of YouTube on my phone and I could see all the lights coming through and just weird noises, and I thought 'what the bloody hell is going on?'," he said.
"I looked out the window and I just seen all the detectives, all the cars out the front, and found out someone lost their life.
"It was pretty scary. Happened 30 metres away from the room where I've got my little eight-week-old baby."

Residents told the ABC the area was generally quiet and spotlights usually shone in the shopping centre car park, but they had been switched off last night.
"It's [usually] a nice little pocket of heaven," Brenton said.
The ABC understands men in a vehicle were seen leaving the scene overnight.
Detectives were knocking on the doors of residents today in the neighbourhood.
The homicide squad is investigating and asks anyone with information or mobile phone, dash-cam or CCTV footage to contact Crime Stoppers.
