Aged care centre confronts racism, improves staff retention with cultural celebrations

In short: 

A Wollongong aged care centre received a report of racial abuse towards a staff member in 2024.

In 2025 it started an anti-racism education program and began celebrating the major cultural holidays of staff and residents.

What's next? 

It has seen reports of abuse plummet and is encouraging other facilities to follow in its footsteps.
