Adrian Stimson is an artist and a member of the Siksika Nation, Treaty 7, Alberta.

Adrian Stimson is an artist and a member of the Siksika Nation, Treaty 7, Alberta.

 His art looks at loss and resilience, identity and history, including the Residential School experience. Adrian himself attended three Residential Schools. He has exhibited in three International Biennales, including most recently at the 22nd Biennale of Sydney in 2020, and has been recognised with a number of honours, including the Blackfoot Visual Arts Award in 2009, the Alberta Centennial Medal in 2005, and the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal in 2004. 

In 2025 Adrian was involved in ‘We are the land we walk upon,’ a groundbreaking cross-cultural collaboration between Australian and Canadian First Nations part of the Yirramboi 2025 festival.
