Program: NSW new gun and protest laws in effect

Sweeping new gun and protest laws came into effect in New South Wales today, with the Premier flagging more reforms in the wake of the Bondi terror attack.

At the federal level, the Prime Minister has again knocked back calls for a royal commission.

He has asked the Governor-General to set up a special honours list for all those who showed bravery at the scene of the tragedy.
