Kyrgios not offered Australian Open wildcard as four other Aussies named

In short:

Four wildcards were issued to Australians Priscilla Hon, Rinky Hijikata, Talia Gibson and Taylah Preston for January's Australian Open.

But Nick Kyrgios, who has had knee and wrist surgeries, did not receive a wildcard for the grand slam event.

Kyrgios's hopes for an Australian Open wildcard are not over yet, with more to be offered closer to the tournament, which starts on January 18.
