Long-awaited wine industry mandatory code of conduct too late for growers

The federal government will introduce a mandatory code of conduct for wine grape purchases.

It is being implemented in response to a review by Craig Emerson this year.

What's next?

It will come into effect on January 1, 2027 and will be developed in consultation with wine grape growers and winemakers.
