Hollywood director Carl Rinsch convicted of scamming Netflix out of $16.5m

American film director Carl Rinsch has been convicted of wire fraud, money laundering and other charges relating to unfinished Netflix show White Horse.

Prosecutors for Netflix had alleged Rinsch "took $US11 million meant for a TV show and gambled it [away]".
