Perth fires prompt warning of extreme conditions as Kenwick, Bullsbrook blazes downgraded

In short: 

A Kenwick resident came close to losing her home in one of two fires which reached emergency level in Perth on Thursday, but have since been downgraded. 

Sections of "internationally significant" biodiverse wetlands have been destroyed by the bushfire in Kenwick, which is not yet contained or controlled.

What's next? 

The Bureau of Meteorology has warned the forecast hot and windy weather is "a big concern" for the south west of WA over the weekend, with temperatures tipped to reach 40 degrees Celsius.
