How schools of excellence are changing the future of girls rugby league in Queensland

More than 150 students attend trials each year for a girls rugby league program at Ipswich State High School, west of Brisbane.

Schools of excellence are growing in Queensland, as more students use the programs as pathways into elite sport, music and arts. 

While the focus of the Ipswich program is rugby league, it also aims to build confidence for young women.
