One of the first scoops for the ABC Rural department in the 1950s, when the CSIRO introduced Myxomatosis to control the rabbit population. 

Although the virus was initially highly effective, rabbits developed resistance over time, leading to a subsequent increase in their population.

Despite ongoing efforts to control rabbits, they remain a pest.
