In short:

The Victorian government is strengthening powers for school principals to ban aggressive or violent parents from school grounds.

The powers have been in place since 2022, but the government is looking to apply them to behaviour on social media, as well as reducing the amount of paperwork required to issue a ban.

What's next?

From today, principals, teachers, parents and carers are invited to consult with the government via an online survey.
