When the founder of a skincare company learns his zinc sunscreen isn’t achieving its promised level of protection in preliminary tests, he hopes there'll be a fix.

But not long afterward he makes a shocking discovery that suggests the true scale of the problem may be much larger, and potentially stretches across dozens of products on Australian shelves.
