'Brilliant time capsule' of historical street images returns to Bendigo

A collection of 17,000 photographs taken by a tailor and amateur photographer in Bendigo has been returned to the city. 

The National Trust of Victoria has given the Allan Doney Photographic Collection to the Bendigo Historical Society.

What's next?

Volunteers are cataloguing and digitising the collection, preparing for a likely exhibition in 2026.
